I cant get the damn thing to ask me what I want to do. I tried the latest drivers on ASUS's site as well as the basic windows driver. I also tried the default windows settings under the auto import thing.

Download the Version 1.0.15.54 one for Win7, do not download the 1.7.xxx one, that is actually for SmartCard readers, station-drivers people didn't do a good job distinguishing them. Tell me if this works, since this is what I installed for my JH.

crap I had my fingers crossed but no dice. I can see the SD drive it just will not auto read or auto start. I had driver "CardReader_Alcor_WIN7_32_64_Z171725416" installed before the 1.0.15.54 one for Win7.

    Any other ideas? :(

Like it won't read the data on the SD card but it shows up once you plug it in? Try a different SD card?

no it just will not auto play. The data is all there. I just dont like manually importing my pics once a day or more manually with crappy "Windows Live Photo Gallery"

Sounds like a problem with your autoplay settings. Right click on the drive and change them...

Inset the card, open Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\AutoPlay

and adjust as needed. This may be necessary if you set all devices to 'take no actions' as I did.
This is just another way to do what DCx stated above.

Windows update supplied the needed drivers for my sdcard slot on a clean install. Before hand i had the same problem as you.
