No one has stock yet... Pricing is irrelevent if they don't have the allocation.

Since it wasn't said, price is low at pccanada.com, they have a great reseller rating and have been a pleasure to deal with. It might not be the absolute lowest (it was darn close though) but they are very forthcoming about how many pre-orders and when they expect shipment, which cannot be said of everyone.

I am not affiliated with them in anyway, but I did put my pre-order in with them after looking at every other Canadian reseller.

So far all resellers I found in Canada have either the G73JH-A1 for about 1750$ CAD or the G73JH-A2 for about 1650$ CAD.
I have not found a single reseller in Canada that advertises the X1, X2 or X3 models.

With the Canadian dollar being almost on par with the USD, I have an urge to order it from a reseller in the US. Only thing holding me back is the risk of having to pay for customs...

Not a risk as much of a certainty. You will be charged taxes for an importation over 200$ and maybe even customs fees depending on the courier used.
And don't forget that even though the dollar is currently around 96.5¢, if you pay by credit card than you bank will happily take an extra 1-2% in the exchange rate during currency conversion.

i'm was expecting it march 2nd but it was pusshed to march 11th, looks good for that date as it coincides with the second US shipment.

in anycase my reseller hasn't said anything about the date being pushed back further, and i trust them as they helped me be one of the first out my way to get the g51vx way back.

Do you know which resellers will be getting them first?
TG, CDW both say march 19th.
I wonder if there's a way to find out directly from the distributors here in Canada.
Don't want to wait any longer!!

There's been stock in Canada (I know, as I have one that arrived yesterday from NCIX), Asus just needs to send more!

They seem to sell out in minutes whenever a store gets some listed.

    Mangaloid:

Pccanada currently has 20 of the A2 in stock in Toronto, still some on backorder in BC. If you order now I'm sure you'll get it quickly. They are also expecting more on the 16th. The A1 still has quite a few backorders.

Again, I cannot say enough good about my experience with PCCanada.com. Stellar customer service, excellent and fast communication and my laptop should be at my door when I get home tonight.

I love PCCanada too - just wish they still customized.

I would order in 1 second if they did.

I just noticed that PcCanada charges Quebec PST. I thought they were only based in BC and Ontario? I might opt for NCIX in this case...

I purchased mine from Memory Express in Calgary. I preordered January 8 and picked it up Mar. 8. They show 3 in stock in Edmonton and 2 in Winnipeg right now - those are A1's. They are a little more expensive at $1819 but I did not really care as their service is amazing.

It's great now that the A1s are finally a stock item! Now is where the price competition really comes into play!

Why do people keep telling Canadians to order their laptop from the States so often? There is NO free trade, folks.

You get ripped off in customs, taxes, duties, whatever.

I got my A2 pricematched at NCIX. I used this link here.

So, I would assume you could use the same one for the A1.

    Thanks tailendforwards.

I tried to price match using that link, but they refused as it is a US website.

I am hoping that either you or pphilipko have a canadian link or idea I can use to get that good price of $1645 CDN!

Does asus still honor the adp/warranty from this guy? And if you buy on mastercard, do you still get an additional year of warranty coverage from them if it's a private sale?
