Have you tried running the ClearType wizard?
Have you tried disabling hardware acceleration in FFox 4? -

No you're not the only one. I remember seeing some stuff about this but since I don't run windows I have no ideas for you. But if you do a web search for "blurry text firefox 4" you should find some solutions.

Look in CCC, and check on whether Morphological Anti-Aliasing is enabled.

wow I always get answers here. You guys are great! It had to do with hardware acc. Its still has to do with FF and not the ATI drivers. I dont use IE but I might have to start. The text still looks better on IE to me.
here is a before and after hardware acc
Before (on)
After (off)

I guess my captures dont really show how bad it is/was in FF.

Maybe I need glasses....:GEEK: -
lol i don't see difference from the examples
except the one is bold -
Before has soft edges. After is crisper. Difference is very noticeable to me.
@mite
There isn't any bolding. -
the first one is a little bolder for me
you need to come very close to see the difference -
Yay! I don't need glasses!

Firefox has had this blurry text issue for a while in certain situations. I switched to Google Chrome and won't be switching back.
