Of course, I keep mine fully updated. There's zero reason not to.

Depends on the update, but yes. The only time you shouldn't use Windows update is for drivers. Otherwise they're mostly useful 99% of the time.

With Windows 7 x64 and all the programs installed, my hard drive usage is about 32gb. With hibernation it is 40gb. This includes all the Windows 7 x64 updates so far, including SP1.

It is very dangerous, not to install all the Windows update.

and for people worry about the hdd used space, there is a plenty programs which remove both restore points and Windows Updates backups.

I installed all windows security for windows 7.. I'm scared to install the other updates coz it might eat all my free space on ssd.

the updates actually do not increase the size of your widows installation since they just either replace or patch files. The real increase came from both Updates Backup and Restore Points, both can be removed easily. Just disable restore points or let them not to use more than 3gb. For the Updates backups you should use TuneUp Utilities or any other free tool.

no i dont.. as long as my system is stable, there's no need to update all of them imo.. im using deepfreeze btw, that is enough for prevent any malware/security reason
