down throttling... but why?

Hey guys.

I recently had my asus g53sw repaired do to high cpu temps above 90c that caused down throttling. I recently got it back and everything seemed to work fine the first couple of days. Now playing Hitman Absolution I'm experiencing down throttling ones in a while yet again. The temps are below 82c, so that shouldn't be it... Can anyone tell what the reason could possibly be?

It's only ever loaded 30-60% so it looks like another component (maybe your gpu?) is doing the throttling and your CPU is clocking down as it does not need to run full speed.

 

thanks for the reply. i will check the gpu. could it be a throttle stop thing?

 

The program wont slow down your CPU itself unless you start changing things manually.
