how do you flash the motherboard when it doesn't post/boot? i know my Acer 5920G had secret key combo that would flash the bios of a FAT32 formatted USB drive when certain files were loaded on the flash drive.

    EDIT: G73JH

You can try this, this is for the G75 and later and may work for you. But I think it uses your original BIOS file on the root of your Main hard drive! worth may be worth a try for you.
If you ever had a bad BIOS flash on your ASUS laptop, there is failsafe BIOS built in.

Power on and hold down ”CTRL+Home” immediately or if this doesn't do the trick, try holding ”CTRL+Home” then power on while keeping ”CTRL+Home” pressed. The system will attempt to call back the original BIOS. If the BIOS flash has gone very badly and this does not work you may have to take the laptop to the service center but it's worth a show.

Please try to update using EZFlash within the BIOS when the power is plugged in (not on battery) using a reliable (not cheap/free) FAT32 USB stick.

how would we know? it's a secret? :p On the Acer 5920G it was believed fora long time this was case till years later.

My motherboard pears to be dead but, i've seen "dead" boards come from RMA with just a bios reflash that work fine.

is there any well to tell if the board is posting with out image/picture on the screen?
