It died without me knowing the other day. When I go to plug into the back, the AC adapter dies, almost like there's a short somewhere. Anyone have any ideas? I tried a universal adapter but it did the same.

    Thanks guys.

Possibly a short at the DC jack, does battery power work?

    That's too bad. :(

Since you tried another AC adapter, unless that one is the wrong type, it's probably a shorted DC jack if the LED goes off when you plug it in. It could be another problem on the motherboard but it's hard to say, you can get a replacement DC jack for cheap and probably find a mom&pop repair store to solder it for you.

Does it have to be specific to my laptop or any DC Jack work? If so, eBay it?

Bought an OEM AC adapter..didn't work, light turns right off. I'm disassembling the case now but not sure the easiest way to getting to the Jack is. Ideas?
