okay so heres a summary of whats happening to my laptop:

A few days ago my computer started crashing (BSOD)
Ive been searching for the problem and I came up with a theory that the hard drive is failing. But im really not sure about it so I need your expert opinion.

What happens is that I keep getting BSOD's for no reason (every 10-15 mins or so)
Ive tried memtest86 and I didnt have any errors, so memory problems is scratched off.
Ive reformated and installed a new OS including all the drivers for a new fresh install, just to check if its a software problem. But the problem still persists. Only this time something new happened

While I was installing some old programs my computer crashed again! but the difference now was when it restarted, I couldnt "discard changes and exit BIOS setup". Everytime I did it, it just returned back BIOS setup. Like I had no hard drive to boot from.

When I then checked the boot options,I found out that booting from my hard drive was indeed disabled. And when I tried to enable booting from my drive, it couldnt be found. The only option left was my DVD-Drive. So i then i thought maybe its my hard drive?

Turned my laptop off then on again and here I am. Booted windows from my hard drive. Again. Still waiting for it to crash. Again.

So is it a HDD problem? Should I buy a new one? or can you suggest any HDD testing softwares so I can be sure that this HDD is the problem? Or is it something else? Bad drivers?

    thank you in advance!

You could download crystal disk info and check for SMART errors. I'm pretty sure seagate (the HDD is seagate if it's still the stock HDD) has a version of seatools that can be made bootable to test the hard drive.

this time i can duplicate the crash by defragmenting my drive.... so i guess its a problem with my hdd.. ill test seatools to be sure..

One bad sector means a lot of future troubles, your best bet is to replace the drive entirely and backup all your important data now.
