Bumpers? Thought they was giving them away for free to solve the antenna issues.... oh, nevermind, I'm thinking of another bumper. :) j/k

On a more serious note, I'd suggest you to request Asus to do a cross-ship for the battery only.

Its not the battery...its the two bumpers on both sides of the batery.

The person on the phone was very rude and claimed that it was against company policy to cross-ship and that even if the power supply dies, you have to RMA the ENTIRE NOTEBOOK and they will send you a new one.

BTW cross shipping is the thing where they send to you then you send back right?

Anyway I guess we'll just contact Gentech since they have superb support there.

Strange, I hear a lot of people complaining about those coming off. Mine are on there pretty good so far though. *Keeps fingers crossed*

And I think someone else asked Asus to ship the rubber feet to them and Asus refused to. Don't expect much from them without sending in the whole unit and getting it tied up for weeks.

Last time I asked to cross-ship my keyboard (before I fixed it myself) and the guy sent me this cross-shipment form, so I highly doubt it's "against company policy."

It probably won't help you with your rubber feet, but other people might find this useful. :D

I agree with mersenne, the left rear bumber came off for me as well, either its poor glue or the shape of the case, I just put in a new uber strong adhesive, which seems to work. Ofcourse, if you're handy with scissors and have a spare piece of rubber around, you always trying making a new one!

I'm gonna beat off this old topic. But yeah mines is a bit loose. I don't want to use super glue but what do you guys suggest? Any good packaging double sided tape you recommend? Plus I want to know I can easily remove it in the future if I wish.

One of mine fell off, but its nothing to RMA about as long as you don't lose the bumper. Grab yourself a tube of super glue.

Mine are on, but yeah if it came off I would just glue it back on.

If you lost it. Make your own.

Lots of stuff in lowes or home depot you can mess around with.

You can even just "upgrade" to better ones instead of trying to emulate the old ones.

When I had my Asus W90 I would never use it without pulling my balls out :D

    Cool Balls that is :p

DealExtreme: $3.16 Cool Ball Laptop Leg

    http://www.meritline.com/2-pieces-notebook-mobile-cooling-ball---p-33468.aspx

These things velco on so you can take them off when you put the laptop in the bag, they give you a nice tilt making it easier to type and also in a lot of cases may increase the cooling of your laptop by giving it more airspace under (thus the name coolballs)
