I have to make this quick as my asus is going to shut down soon. Just flashed to latest bios about 2 weeks ago. Didn't have a problem until today. Laptop is shutting it self down after about 5 minutes. Idle or being used. It is not overheating, and it is fully charged. I've checked all the power settings and everything is correct.

    Ideas?

Start disabling background apps. Also, check for malware. Did you update anything recently? If so, roll back to an earlier time.

So my g73jh has been running for 5 hours straight with no issues? Strange?

The only thing that has been updated recently was the bios, which i downloaded from asus and flashed with a thumb drive through the bios panel. Maybe some windows updates not sure.

I have microsoft security essentials and malwarebytes and ive never had an issue.
