    hi,
my intel 6235 adapter is dead
i wanted to know before im make an order, is there anyone that runs the intel 7260 ac on his g73jh? or should i stick to the 6235?

i couldn't any information online, and would really want to use the advantages of my AC router.

    Thanks!

Never upgraded WiFi while I owned my G73JH but I don't see why it wouldn't work. It's not like ASUS has that whitelist bullcrap that HP and Lenovo like to pull.

Buy from Amazon then. Easy return if incompatible. Although I can't think of why it wouldn't work. They're both mPCIe half height. Reason your research didn't reveal anything is probably that most people moved on from G73JH long before wireless AC became a thing.

If I read this correct: http://ark.intel.com/compare/66890,75439,84177 then the 7260-AC model is using the NGFF format and that is probably not compatible to the older non-NGFF of the G73jh.
I am not 100% sure on this.

Just checked a bit more in detail.
    Data sheet 6235: http://www.intel.com/content/dam/ww...iefs/centrino-advanced-n-wimax-6235-brief.pdf
    Data sheet 7260-AC: http://www.intel.com/content/dam/ww...ual-band-wireless-ac-7260-bluetooth-brief.pdf

The connector type seems to be the same for both variants (watch out, there are two connector variants for the 7260!). So for the 7260-AC variant with mini pcie bus, the product is:
    7260HMW

it looks like the mini pci express one will be fine, thanks for the info about the m.2 / mini pci express.

I've ordered the one with the one with the mini pci express socket (7260.HMWWB.R) from amazon, now lets hope for good!

Yep that should work for you. Certainly will need to be the mini PCI-E version :)

YES! I just put the 7260AC in my G73 yesterday. It's awesome! There's no compatibility issues whatsoever and the installation took 5 minutes. The performance is excellent as well.

The AC 7260 works perfectly with the G73. One thing to note, make sure you download the driver before switching it out. I know for a fact that Win7 does not have a generic driver for it. If you're on Win8.1, you may be able to get away with just swapping out the card, I'm not 100% sure on that.

8.1 recognises it, so yes grab it before hand or have an ether net cable ready :)
