    g73jh card reader not working

    card reader in my g73jh is not detecting any sd card ( i have 3, all of them work with other laptop). when sd card is in it shows removable disk and i cant start it at all. have tried every driver and did recovery as well.when the card is in it hoes alcor micro usb 2.0 in device manager and also shows Wpd filesystem volume driver under portable device.
    is this is hardware related or?
