I recently re-pasted my laptop, and put it back together, and I plugged in the power jack, and the led's showing battery charging and what not came on, and then they kinda flickered and shut off, now no power goes to my motherboard. I hear a little click when I plug the power jack in, which means the powerbrick is giving power, but it wont go to anything, no fans will turn on, and I have the led's hooked up. Nothing. I check my motherboard, very closely, and nothing looks like it blew. They watch battery has power, I just dont know what to do at this point. If the mother board is dead, would it be worth it to get a new one and swap everything over? or to just part it out? I can take pics of the mobo if you would like, I have it out right now.

Hello my name is Jeffrey and I work for ASUS Customer Loyalty Team

This will be difficult to find out what the problem is because you would need the schematic diagrams to pinpoint where you are not getting power. Check to see if you are getting voltage on the dc pin then check if you get voltage around the resistors. Usually when I was a notebook techniciah it would usually be one of the ic chips or the dc pin.

Is everything connected? Can you take pictures of your setup.

Ill take a pic of the set up, reset button is not being pressed.

If you need any pictures of specific parts, let me know. I checked all my wires, and everything is plugged in correctly.
