hi. i am going to install windows 8.1 tonight. am currently on windows 7. i have had a look at G73JH resource pool thread but the drivers are old. can someone please provide a link with a rar package or something that has all the latest drivers i need for windows 8.1 to work fine with my laptop. things like atk, p4g etc. thanks.

Your best bet will be to install 8.1 then manually update the drivers. Windows will pick up most of them for you. For the model specific ones like the ATK I would try installing some from a more recent model like the G75 which Asus does have 8.1 drivers posted for on their site.

thanks hutsady. suprisingly windows 8.1 already has most of the drivers (bluetooth, camera etc). only one i upgraded was the ati drivers to the new beta one. and the modded realtek drivers for better sound. thats it. everything running smooth and much faster than windows 7. oh and also had to install atk package so kb could light up.

Glad to hear it was pretty simple. Windows 8-8.1 have been pretty good about installing most for you.
I do like 8 better then 7 after you use it for a couple days to get use to the slight change.

I agree its noticeably faster then 7.

They do roll in a lot of drivers each servicepack/os, it can be quite nice to be pretty much up and running immediately.
