i just got my g73jw back from replacing the motherboard, and the fans are making alot of noise even when it's running anything special, when he used to be quiet.
    The computer was just formatted.
    What can I do?

If you just got it back from Tech Support, they probably flashed it to the latest BIOS and the new one has higher RPM settings for the fans. There is little you can do but get used to the new fan settings, unless you want to try and rollback the BIOS to an earlier one (which you should not attempt unless you know what you're doing).

This kind of thing happens pretty frequently, and there is a long history of this kind of symptom around here after Asus issues a BIOS update, going back as long as I've been around. My wife's Eee also had this after a BIOS flash last spring. c'est la vie.
