I put my computer for hibernation for the night and in the morning I played gta4 and 3d did not work(the green light for 3d did not light either).

So I shut down my computer and there was some windows updates and I let it update.
Then I booted my computer and tried 3d photo viewer and it still did not work(the green light for 3d did not light either).

I checked the drivers and they are the same as before(newest nvidia drivers). I have not changed anything in weeks. I have had this computer for now a month.

Should I install the newest drivers again or what do you think I should do?

Also, this computer has acted weirdly before as well.

Before dvds and videos only worked(without lagging) on windows media player and zoom player(after a while zoom player stopped working but then windows media player classic started working).
youtube did not work on full screen. sometimes no player worked without lagging. I tried to put back old drivers and install and delete a few codec packs but nothing helped.

I also used throttlestop when I viewed videos if my memory serves me correct. Games ran ok.

And then at some point my windows live messenger and firefox started lagging so badly that I had to stop using them.

And then, after I noticed that youtube worked on full screen in opera I tested videos and firex and messenger and all worked well.

Now everything works fine(except the 3d what I explained above) and I did not update anything, everything just started working by themselves. Do you guys have any idea how this happened?

Try re-running the 3D setup Wizard. The config may have gotten corrupted, and needs to be reset. Also, 3D needs to be enabled before using.

For streaming video playback, make sure your browsers and Flash are all up to date. Also, IE uses a separate Flash plugin, and so if you use other browsers, they too need to be updated.

the 3d wizard is gone, I set it up before from start menu and I can´t find it from the program files folder either. when I try to watch stereoscopic 3d from 3d photo viewer, it views the photo like before(when watched without glasses) but red and blue, the green light doesnt lit and I cant see 3d with glasses. I don´t understand why this could happen, I havent installed anything this week, but winamp.

could it be that installing winamp changed some settings and they dont revert back even when uninstalled? should I recover windows to a state before 3d worked?

edit.: now I recovered windows to the last possible recovery point(yesterday) but the 3d did not still work, so I cancelled the recovery.

download 275.50 beta, it has the newest 3d vision release, and uninstall the old driver set first.

ok. But before when I uninstalled nvidia drivers before installing the new drivers, I couldn´t install them because it said that no card found so I will install without uninstall like I did before, is that OK?

    Edit: I found the drivers

OK, I tried to install the new beta drivers, but it did not work, installation failed so I reverted back to the old drivers by pressing f11(or f8, I pressed both because I didn´t remember which one to press) and chose the last working configuration. But the 3d still does not work.

Do you think that I should wait for new drivers to come out or try again?

I just posted a modified 275.50 beta package. Maybe you need the modded INF which is already installed.

OK, where did you post it? And where is the modded INF(what is INF?) installed?

    thank you

OK, now I found out why the installing the new drivers did not work: I had 16 viruses. I used f-secure online scanner, it did not work at first but then I ran it in error free(dont know what its in english) mode from startup and then it worked and scanned.

So I put back the old drivers and 3d started working but videos did not ran well(same problem I had before and it fixed itself but 3d then stopped working).

So I returned the computer into the state it was before I installed the old drivers and now videos work but 3d doesnt work. So now I will try the newest driverst(275.50)

nope, I was wrong, installing the new 275.50 drivers still doesn´t work.

You need to rerun the 3D Vision setup wizard to have it use a different device profile. It's currently set to NVIDIA Discovery glasses.
