    Getting a used Asus G60VX-RBBX05.

This is my second Asus after a z70va. That one was hit or miss. It was powerful for its time but it was prone to putting out heat like a nuclear reactor early on, got its gfx card fried, and it was extremely difficult to reach certain components to clean like the gfx card fan.

I was wondering if the g60 was easier to take apart and clean esp the vid card and processor. Does it have any issues that I should be aware of?

I heard that it can get really hot. A common solution I've seen is to cut out the fake vent and turn it into a real one but I'm afraid this might void a warranty. Is this true and is there anyway around it like maybe another substitute cover I could buy or make without damaging original one.

There is only 1 panel needed to be opened to access the fan, cpu, ram, hdd's, wifi, etc.
Slicing up that panel for airflow will void the warranty. There isn't really a way around that, except to buy a new, unmodified back panel.

How easy is it to take off the panel? For the z70va all you needed to do was to take off a few screws to get at the CPU but the gfx card was a nightmare that required literally stripping the computer piece by piece.
