What are your CPU and GPU idle and load temperatures?
Are you getting bluescreens or lockups? -
i apologize for being a bit of a newbie, i'm not sure where to find the temps.
they aren't blue screens, literally lockups. screen will either go completely black until i manually shut it off, or go striped. it happens while playing rift -

You have a few choices, here are the most common:
Real Temp - CPU temperature monitoring
GPU-Z Video card GPU Information Utility
CPUID - System & hardware benchmark, monitoring, reporting
HWiNFO, HWiNFO32 & HWiNFO64 - Hardware Information and Analysis Tools
Have you ever updated your VBIOS? There is a VBIOS section in the sticky, most people I think are probably using Chastity's VBIOS these days (find it here).
If you have never updated your VBIOS or graphics drivers, that would be the place to start, as long as your temps are normal. -
thanks. i'll start here.
gfx card messing up, any solutions?
