my gf lives hours away and we basically skype everyday. so i was thinking of getting a pc game for both of us that would be fun (think plants and zombies but multiplayer). something simply yet enjoyable..nothing GPU intensive..any suggestions?

Do people still play wow? WOW :) I left at Tier 10 after my guild got destroyed by mutiny!! haha I miss it sometimes and get the itch but I remember how bad my posture was how unfit and unhealthy I was and how badly I did at work because I had 50% sickness!

Great game though, but if you are new expect a good 3 months to get upto where everyone else is.

Becuase you can Game on an Asus Laptop...

Wow is still around. Raiding is not a good idea for people with, jobs or family.

But over all, you can have a nice time leveling up and exploring each zone.
If you take your time and do the crafting, you can also make tons of gold to buy more stuff...

Just do not raid or compete with others. and you will have fun...

Other fun games might be Online version of old family games.
    Uno, monoploy, card games.

    *opens up Steam*

I would suggest Portal 2 as it's puzzle based (and therefore suitable for women :p) but it might be a little too intense. Though I do know people who play it on low options graphically and I believe they only have a mobile i3 at best and god knows about GPU.

You could play "Machinarium" side by side, that's both interesting and fun. Also logic driven so you can discuss it as you go.

World of Goo is also damn good.

    Universe Sandbox if you're physics-y.

None of these are strictly multiplayer though. Oh my god, how could I forget. Command and Conquer: Generals Zero Hour!

    China has big Generals! :D

WOW, Maple Story(<- great for girls and friendship, you won't be called "g@y" (many g@ys are playing this game) if you play with your girl friend)

You will enjoy playing that with your girlfriend (as I did ; ) )

    Maple Story! ahahahahaha. Smashing :)

    @OP

Sadly we are just batting out games for you to play to relieve the fact that you cannot play the RL game because you are both too far away and most likely competing against one another will not lead to this happening again anytime soon :D I reckon you should stick to games you can play and stay in touch on skype.

As they say absence makes the heart grow fonder. Not gaming :D

Although to compare spending the weekend with my new 920XM or the date I have planned. Is it worrying that I would rather be with a tube of IC Diamond? :twitchy:

    Dallers,

It is ok to want a Tube of IC over a date..

    Reasons why:
    1. IC is a fixed cost Dates are not
    2. IS is so go your friends will ove it Dates may not...
3.IC will give you predictable results Dates will not

Over all IC is great stuff and well dates are an unknow factor in life....

Back to the Games It looks like WOW has 3 votes and Steam has 3 votes

So both are great ways to go. Ask her what she wants as well...

Yeah definetly diablo 2 for it's low graphics and simplicity, Guild Wars is pretty fun with out the monthly fees of a mmo (though those games tend to be a little complex at first), if you really want to bond with someone than you have to play Left 4 Dead (nothing beats trying to survive through a zombie apocalypse together). If those three games are too gpu intensive for your pc than there probably isn't anything else you can play besides free online internet browser games.

WaffleBoy; Many g@ys play Maple story? In that case I'd probably stay away from that one. Jk. =)

I vote C&C Zero hour it is the best one since it was released.

C&C 3 was either too easy or too hard there was no good settings to choose from and was far to predicatable. Red Alert 3 was LOL.

The Less we say about C&C4 the better. Yes Generals is the way to go.
