    i know there are some power adapters for other brands and or models of laptops that can be used with a size adapter or soldering on the asus cable does any one remember which ones they were? i think there was like a 300 watt adapter for some other type of laptop that can be used.

    I use lenovo 230watt with fitted dc jack on back of my g73sw there where antenna hole was placed. Exact model is: 45N0060

    A clevo brick is likely the easiest if you want to go the soldering route and replace the cable, no silly ID chip like the dells and it goes up to 330W with the delta bricks.

    I dont see point with anything over 230 watt on any asus laptop ever.
