I would like to install a new SSD as the boot drive in my G53 (as in, running the OS). My SSD is only a 60 Gb.
Since I only have the backup disks I made, and not a copy of Windows 7, how do I ensure only the 15 or so Gb of OS install?

The easiest way is to do a clean install of Win 7. Plenty of places online to download an ISO of Win7 Home Premium. Then add the apps you need. On my desktop, I run my apps off the SSD, except for Steam, which runs off a 3-drive RAID.
