More then overwhelmed that I just got my G73 @ 2pm central time. Got the warrent and virus protection (realized I didn't need that pos anti virus program my step dad could of hooked me up with mcfee. Anyways I been on it all day I'm in love most of my thoughts are pros about it like speed graphics storage ,etc. But the one con I have is the darn touch pad it sucks. I was curious if there is a way I could upgrade the touch pad or not, also just for fun and more discussion what kind of upgrades could I do to my G73 to make it even more SiK! Posting pictures tomorrow.!!

    Thank you and god bless

Oh and just curious for my sake is it pronounced (asis or asoos) because I been watching a lot of the unpackings videos and what not and they all say asoss.

Neither. I always have and always will pronounce it exactly how it is spelt - "Aye-sus".

Touchpad can't be upgraded AFAIK, but if you don't use it you can simply disable it in the BIOS.

Only real upgrade you can give it is more RAM and an SSD, unless you want to start changing screens or replacing the whole CPU.

Saw an interview with their CEO and he pronouced exactly like how it's spelled, basically "asoos" or something very close to it.

Yep, it's A-soos. Anyways, the touchpad isn't stellar but it isn't too terrible as long as you don't have the problems some users are experiencing with theirs.

First thing i would do, is get the latest bios and video drivers. After that, if you want to replace the screen you could get a matte 1080p panel to prevent glare.

OMG first thing you need to do is get rid of McAfee. I'd recommend avast, or clamAV or MSSE or NOD32, or even trendmicro... anything else but norton.

I have a feeling that the virus scanner "pos" as you say from your step-dad probably worked great, but wasn't pretty enough.
