nothing like disassembling things
it seems to be a line of LEDs (yellow) on the keyboard independently of the other(white)
E.T.spaceship(main LEDS)
Small yelow LEDS in the bottom of the keyboard

"Alt Gr"?? european KB??
i dont rem any yellow lights on my KB when i opened it up...
were they always there and you seeing them now?? coz uniform degradation like that along one line is kind of unlikely....
Maybe its a EU KB thing -
Yep, spanish KB with Ñ
From what I've seen, the backlight of the keys is powered by a row of LEDs (ET pic) and each key has a piece that reflects light.
I do not know if the yellow lights (or pieces) were there before and I had not seen -
My G73 has the yellow lights too, under two keys if I recall. Alt and something else. Don't recall.

thanks!! -
I don't know. It's is really weird. I checked this thread this morning and my keys where all white light. Later I made a BIOS, vBIOS and catalyst update and now I have the yellow light in my keyboard.

I had a row of yellow lights on both keyboards i owned (the US and Slovenian), so i guess its designed like this.

5 keys on mine. All of them in the lowest row.
-
was probably always there but noticed it now and i cant look away now!! :/ -
I have one yellow key. The one between R.Alt and R.Ctrl.
Its like a gapped, stained tooth in a row of flawless teeth. lol -
I'm not sure if it's supposed to happen or not. I thought since it was on only like two keys, that it was the white light reflecting on something copper, giving the yellowish tone.
keyboard lights degradation g73jh
