ok, I was trying to update my ati drivers for video card but werent installing, so used driver sweeper and cleaned the ati video drivers. Than went to ati's site and downloaded the latest and when I instal it goesthrough and says successful. But they still arent installing, I can only goto max res like 1156x something. and In device manager, its showing standard display driver. and Ive tried this with one from asus site aswell. help installing?

also, when I do system restore to go back to how my system was before i did driver sweeper, my ati CCC doesnt even load. So idk whats going on with my ati drivers/software

and i've also tried using driver sweeper, and cc cleaner to clear all ati, than when I install the ati drivers again they never work :/

    hmm that worked, thanks )

what software version is that? Is that the newest 10.12? because I tried that from the ati site and it didnt work. And if these arent the newest, should I try installing the ati catalyst software suite from ati's site for 10.12?

It's a newer build than 10.12 WHQL, but based on 10.11 build fork. Go figure. :) What I do know is they work very well.

No the newest is the normal 10.12 WHQL. Those were drivers just modified to run on the HD6970 based on the 10.11. They have no additional benefits for mobile GPU at all, none, zero. I'd go with the 10.12 WHQL personally which you can find on the official site.

Except that some people have had game and system crashes on 10.12 WHQL, and that hotfix pack is dated after 10.12's release. Installing that pack solved their issues. If 10.12 works for you, great. If not, you have an option.
