I'd have no problem recommending a G73 to anyone, but it may take some work to get it running stable. The finish of the machine can't be beat, the rubberized palmrest and gigantic touchpad are awesome.

While luck based, if you get a good system, the G73 has a great price for what you get. Sure, there were problems with overheating (BIOS fixes + repastes), GSoD (vBIOS update) and touchpad/keyboard issues, but honestly, 2 of those are fixed or fixable with not too much effort, and the 3rd is looking like it might actually be fixed. For me, if the keyboard issue is fixed, I'll finally be totally happy with my G73. That said, if I had my time back, I may have invested my money elsewhere, because it has been 6 months of waiting and lurking to see if things were getting fixed.

Anyways , i say Asus. Very Happy with their product although it took some work to make it work but worked fine for me.

Then I guess you'll be happy with 211 beta3

Asus for sure. I'm thinking I might make my next computer an Asus as well. We'll see.
I've had plenty of frustrations with this computer, but it's like a pet cat.
It pees in your living room then once you get it cleaned up you look at it with a grimace, it comes up and rubs against your legs. You sit down and it jumps up on your lap and does all those cute cat things. :3
