    i would like most of my programs on second drive (drive d) but when i try to install office, printer etc it don't give me an option. what have i done wrong?

    Select the custom/advanced install option. I've come across one or two programs that i couldn't force to install on the D:\ drive. Running the installer in windows xp compatibility mode did the trick for a few of them (tversity for example).

    Do you see the D drive when going through Windows Explorer or My Computer?
