when i plug in my ac adapter, the little green light on it is lite but when i plug the ac adapter into my laptop, the green light goes off and my laptop is getting no power... i'm not a computer guru and i'm kinda freaking out cause the warranty just ended about 2 weeks ago and i'm scared that i might need a new motherboard. what is going on with my laptop? and around how much is it gonna cost to fix it? if its a easy fix to do, is there a guide somewhere with pictures that i can follow?

Check the DC jack where the AC adapter plugs in to see if it's loose.

Does the power plug in your computer wiggle around if you gently move it around? If it does, see if the adapter LED or the charging LED on your laptop come on. That would indicate that you have a loose DC power jack, and it can be replaced for about $15 for the part + $?? labor from any qualified repair shop.

Otherwise, it may be a bad AC adapter, or some other major problem on your motherboard.

That board is discontinued, it'll be hard to find, my best guess is ebay.
