    problem at updating the new graphic driver for the Asus G73JW-XA1

    I HAVE just bought my Asus G73JW-XA1 at amazon

    i did a clean install with window 7 ultimate

    after that i go to Asus website to install the original nvidia graphic driver

    then i go to Nvidia website to download the new driver
    version 260.89 for my window 7 64bit version

    However, i always get the errors:
    "this graphic driver could not find compatible graphic hardwares"
    i even try to use the Search upgrade in the Nvidia website to let it check my system and find the updated driver and the website really point to the 260.89 version of GTX 460m

    I did a clean install for my operating system. After that i only install the driver for the Chipset , Audio, VGA, TKA. That's all
    i am not sure whether i am missing something or not

    plz help , I want to update to the new drivers

    I'm having the same problem when I try updating my video driver. I download the latest driver off Nvidia's website. When I install it it gives me an error saying that it could not find compatible hardware.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    I had same problem with 5870...

    I restarted G73,windows update installed some generic VGA driver and then when I wanted to install ati catalyst everything went smooth...

    I did some more research and it's a known problem that many people with a GTX 460M are experiencing. It seems as though Nvidia failed to test the driver with an actual GTX 460M.

    The last known working driver is the 260.63, which can be found here: NVIDIA DRIVERS 260.63 BETA

    I installed the 260.63 drivers and it's working fine.
