    problem with asus g51j temperature when its plug into power

    Hello guys i have a asus g51j its have a geforce gts 360m , my problem is when i plug in into power the temperature up to very high , sometimes its shutdown in 1 second , when i use it without plug in to power i dont have problems , anyone know what can i do?

    have you try connect just the AC and remove the battery?

    In the past, I have removed the battery and just run directly off of the AC power. That will usually reduce the heat quite a bit since the battery itself isn't constantly charging. If you still have heat issues their, then there might be something wrong with your power adapter itself.

    When it's on battery the nvidia card will run at a lower clock rate. Maybe it's overheating on AC from the higher clocks. Have you tried cleaning your fan & vent area with some compressed air? Has your cooling system been modified?

    It's running at a higher clock speed when it's plugged in, which means ALOT more heat generated for that model. I have a G60Jx,which is very similar to your model. As for it shutting down, it most likely needs to be cleaned out and repasted.

    Agreed, just buy one of those cans of compressed air and clean the inside of your notebook.

    yeah check temp of the gfx card with msi afterburner :)

    msi afterburner is old and limited, and well.. MSI :)

    guys first of all THANKS VERY MUCH TO ALL, you save my notebook , and special thanks to ALLurGroceries for the idea of compresed air, i do this with my compresor for a few minutes i put the air for the holes, and now my notebook is in media 60 Celcius watching 3 hd movies , AMAZING THANKS THANKS THANKS =)
