    Hello everyone,

I've had my g73jh x2 for over a year now or right around it I believe. I have a intel 160ssd installed (the only thing I have different from stock). I never overclock and I'm happy with it's performance. However, (theres allways a however...)
-- I get random times where I turn on the laptop and it freezes with a black screen right after does the loading screen for windows 7. This is probbably 3 times out of 10 where I have to physically hold the power button to shut it down and get it back up again where it 100% loads normally.

----- I have never had a single video card crash of any sort UNTILL (damn there is allways a untill), yesterday. I was playing black ops and I got the verticle screen of death (vsod), in my case it was grey vertical lines. Should I be worried considering this is the only time its ever done this? I have played on this unit in all different games for hours on end (wow, bad comp 2, black ops, lfd2, starcraft 2).

any suggestions or comments are greatly appreciated.... thanks guys

I just checked my bill I purchased the laptop FEB 28, 2010 (2 days away from one year).

I have just gone through similar problems with mine that is about 1 year old also. It turned out that the second hard drive (D: drive) is failing. I removed it corrected the errors through another pc and got the data off but it. Then I put it back into the G73 ran seatools from seagate and it passed, then froze soon after. I removed the drive again and everything is fine.

Use windows to check your d drive for errors.
