    Hello
I have a little problem with my asus G2S,
when remounting thermal module 13GNJY2AM010-1 , do i have to put thermal grease on nvidia chipset and also on LE82PM965 chipset ??
It seems only nvidia chipset has thermal grease . LE82xxxxx had a sort of plastic gum on it.

I would replace with the same type of thermal interface compound that was used originally. If they used pads then they did it for a reason - because the gap(s) between chip and heat sink are too wide for grease.

Size and thickness should be all you'll need to worry about. Check to see if the pad is 0.5/1mm or more in thickness. Make sure to get a piece the same size or a larger one that you'll cut yourself. If you want to upgrade you can go for high quality pads with a 6W/mK thermal conductivity.

you can get thermal pads here: Thermal Pads / Tape | Page 1 | Sort By: Product Title A-Z - FrozenCPU.com

Oh and if the pad wasn't damaged, you shouldn't need to replace it unless you want to upgrade to a better quality one.
