I performed a clean installation of Windows 7 after using diskpart to clean my hdd. I formatted my two partitions right in the Windows 7 install setup which was run from a usb flash drive. I had downloaded the chipset, audio, video, LAN, and wifi (for intel ultimate n 6300) drivers directly from the asus g53sw site and the intel site.

It boots to desktop fine, but in device manager there's an error for multiple devices: Ethernet Controller, Network Controller, PCI Simple Communications Controller, USB Controller, and USB2.0 - CRW. I first tried to install the chipset; I get an error:
"setup.exe: Bad Image... <file path> dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support." There are about 2 dozen or so dialogue boxes like this one and then the setup runs and appears to complete smoothly, although there are no changes to the aforementioned devices that would indicate so.

Next, I rebooted and installed the audio driver, which seemed to run fine. Then I tried the video driver (nVidia) and it immediately fails to install without an explanation. I have not tried to install the LAN or wifi drivers yet as I believe it's better to have installed the video driver successfully first, though I may be wrong.

Please help ASAP, I need this notebook for work tomorrow.
