    Does G751JY-DH73-CA have :
    1- removable battery?
    2- adapter auto-switch 110-230 ?
3- CPU with turbo up to 3.5 GHz (as one of asus staff told me that G751JY-DH73-CA has i7-4710 but without turbo) ?
4- efficient and quiet cooling system like G751JY-DH71 ?
    5- Samsung M.2 SSD or sata 3 SSD ?

I also had a question about the CA version. Are there no red tints on the back vents like the US version? I would prefer that and would def buy the CA. The pics also make it look like there are only 2 vents instead of 4, wondering if that makes it run hotter or louder.

I picked up a new G751jy-DH73-CA (canadian version) as I was able to find it for quite a bit less than the US version (g751jy-dh71).
They are both identical in terms of specs the only difference is the model number.

    To answer your questions:
    1. No
    2. Yes
    3. Yes it has turbo
    4. exact same cooling as DH71...
    5. 256gb m.2 and 1tb hd (non-ssd) are the default configuration
(perhaps Meaker is thinking of a different unit??)

    Hope that helps...cheers!!

I have the CA. Pretty sure its the m.2 pci e x4 xp941 Samsung ssd. I've checked device manager to confirm.

Also, I too wished there was no red tint, but alas there is.

I might have been thinking of a US model, but either way you do have the connector for both just the bracket for one or the other (depending on what it comes with).

    Hi,

I am considering buying either a G750JM with GTX860 or an equivalent from MSI. Since both will be quite similar in specs, I am wondering which one has the best cooling.
Is it true that the G750JM , G751JT/JY do not have a proper "intake" for the air, and they just vent whatever air there is?
What about an equivalent MSI? Any opinions on a model that might have a nice air intake?

Good question, I can't see any intake on the pictures of it on any website. Maybe an owner will chime in and show us...

The asus systems have some of the strongest cooling systems out there especially for being quiet so you are fine. Indirectly in taking air is not a mistake if designed properly (MSI and Asus both draw air not from directly over the fan).
