I finnaly got sick of this horrible track pad after rma'ing it twice
to get it fixed, once to indiana(now closed) and once to california
it was refomated only at indy and they did replace it in cali
but to no avail,it was still a hunk of junk.
so today was the day to open her up after much study on the forums
and what i found was that the techs in cali replaced the tp but put all the shielding back and there was glue everywhere, also had like 5 pieces of grey tape haphazerdly placed around it.
the great part of this was that since cali opened it up once getting the keyboard off was a snap
after peeling of the tape and prying up the static sheild i took it down to the breadboard and scrubbed and scrubbed and scrubbed til i got all the glue off
then i placed a piece of foam into the space between the tp to keep it from grounding out and reassembled and lo and behold it was like getting a new
laptop again
all functions now work perfectly and the tp is working great
all in all im a happy camper
so i just wanted to give a big SHOUTOUT to all you people who put in the hard work to find this solution
thank you thank you thank you
