    I have the g73sw, and I originally did a clean install, about three weeks ago I did another clean install as I found a virus and used combofix, but then certain things were not working. I know combofix is suppose to be used by professionals or have their guidance, but I used it for years on my older pc and never had a problem. Anyways after the second clean install, everything is pretty much working fine, even plays BF3 very well. But after the second clean install the USB3.0 driver is not installing, I have been using drivermax to make sure I have the updated drivers but when I look in device manager it says the Fresco Logic xHCI (USB3) Controller FL1000 series is installed fine, but the other one, the one that refers to the Fresco USB3 HUB has an exclamation and says windows can not load the driver, I have been going back and forth uninstalling, restarting, updating, etc, and nothing is working. Any ideas how to fix this one?

    Secondly, I normally have the gaming mouse plugged in while I use this computer, yesterday, I unplugged, and I hear the computer make the noise when you unplug hardware, but the drivers I installed to deactivate the trackpad when I use a mouse did not revert. The trackpad did not work. Now I restarted with no mouse attached and at the windows login the trackpad works, but once windows is loaded the trackpad does not work. I am assuming to uninstall the drivers for this trackpad, including the deactivation drivers and redo it all? Any other ideas to fix this one?

    Lastly, I have had this computer since July and this has happened three times, as the computer attempts to go to sleep mode I am assuming, I get a BSOD, I did not have time to write the error before it dumped the memory and restarted, or whatever it does. What program do I use to read the dump file associated to this, so I can atleast start from somewhere?

    Thanks for the help on this, I am a little lost on the best routes to fix these.

    THanks!

    an update, i read the dump files, the 3 old ones mention pci.sys, and people are mentioning its an ethernet card problem with drivers or something, the last one i got
    Use !analyze -v to get detailed debugging information.

    BugCheck 1000009F, {4, 258, fffffa8006719b60, fffff800049043d0}

    Probably caused by : memory_corruption

    Followup: memory_corruption

    that flxhcic.sys is a fresco driver for the usb 3., so from here uninstall the drivers again? What I have learned is Windows 7 is a piece of junk, I want 2000 professional back!

    Did you try a "System restore to an eariler time" to get back closer to your 'clean install' state?
