    Please forgive my ignorance, but how do I look up vBIOS version in
    my BST-7 G73? My Bios version is "ASUS 211", and graphics card BIOS (from GPU z) is 012.017.000.004.035992.

    Whats a vBIOS? How do I look it up? ...again, forgive my ignorance

    That's the vBIOS (stands for Video BIOS which is the BIOS for the ATI 5870 card in your laptop) version. The Version I have is 012.020.000.032.038352 which should be the latest.

    people here talk abou vBIOS 93 (???) can you shed light on what's going on and where can i get latest vBIOS?

    vBios 93 is the latest version from asus, but they havn't released it officially for you to do an "at home" upgrade. It has been released unofficially by an asus technical manager, and it's the vBios 9.3. Not sure about the 9, but the 3 is the most recent "revision"
