open asus utility - life frame, or any application you have installed that uses it such as skype.
Use asus virtual camera to adjust settings

well. It's a little complicated, I'm running this computer in french. But I have smartlogon manager???

Hmm. smartlogon manager seems to be a Facial Recognition Program, which I don't need for the moment.

it is strange, I don't have the little camera icone below V. I'm supposed to be able to activate life frame with fn + V. I'm seeing this info in the eManual. :( I have no camera icon. But I have a webcam. It's working with smartlogon application!!!

I'm totally lost. It's so complicated. Webcam was so easy to use with my old Vaio. I can see on others boards that many people are in the same boat and can't find the way to activate the webcam with Asus.

by the way, in device manager, I have Asus usb2.0 webcam. And the latest driver.

The webcam won't turn on unless you use an application that will make use of the webcam. Something like Skype, MSN etc. So anyways, what program were you trying to use the webcam with?

Hi. Finally, I found the solution. Installed life frame. :D It works perfectly, and fn + v opens the webcam instantly. Problem solved. Thanks to you!!!! Have a nice week-end!!!
