The problem:
I was playing swtor yesterday for about 6 hrs and everything was fine. Idle temps are between 39-42C and load is about 69-71C after 6-8 hrs gameplay. But when i switched to skyrim certain textures started to turn purple, like rocks and beams of light. Also, the sky turned into a giant red artifact and some mountains started to get displaced. Now im kinda worried because this is a new laptop that's a month old. Judging by this, is it overheating or did i burned the gpu? If its not busted, will there be any lasting damage? Can it be fixed? Ive done search in case anyone says anything but i have not gotten any relevant threads to this issue, because i dont know if its one or multiple issues. Ive played skyrim on very high settings for a week and no issues before this happened. Any help will be appreciated.

Are you overclocked? Are you running beta drivers?
I've had similar issues with Nvidia's latest beta drivers (everything's fine for a few hours, then all hell breaks loose), but downgrading the drivers seemed to fix everything. -
Im currently using beta drivers. I'll try downgrading and hope it fixes it. And nope, im not overclocked. Been trying go get a feel for what the gpu can do before i start oc
