I don't have any experience with this, sorry. But this thread might help you to find some answers or clues: http://forum.notebookreview.com/asus-gaming-notebook-forum/502486-g73-static.html

I have the same thing, even after a replacement, and I asked a friend if he gets it too, even though he has a SW-BST6, and sure enough, he does too.
It's definitely a hardware issue(no matter the driver, have tried 6 different drivers now), but I've yet to figure out a way around it. It seems the wifi could be part of the cause though. When my wifi is in lots of use, I get crazy poping and cracking if audio is playing. My guess is the audio chip just isnt sheilded properly in the SW units as I never experienced this problem in the JH, and havent really seen anyone complain that has a JW. -
MAN, I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM on my ASUS G73SW-BST6
(not to mention that MY GPU COOLER SIMPLY STOPPED... I'm so lost.... don't known what to do... I live in Brasil... NO COOLERs like these here... NO WARRANTY....)

You need to get in contact with a GLOBAL service provider for Asus, and they can arrange shipping.
