    Heya gang, currently i am running an old alienware m17x(bought july08), its on its last legs and im in market for a new laptop. I was originally going to purchase another new m17 from alienware but money is alittle tight atm and would like to spend sub 2k. From what I have been reading up on, the asus g74 is a pretty good machine and very competitively priced. Now the question, where do you guys usually shop online? newegg? or are there some other sites where i can get a g74, i havent really looked at computers much since the last time i bought, some 3 years ago, any good sites? also i am pretty set on the g74 unless someone can give me a good alternative, thanks a bunch for your time

    I would highly recommend powernotebooks.com Sevice is excellent, the staff will work with you to avoid RMA's, also the unit will be tested before shipping.This was my first large online purchase and I was very happy.

    I got mine at Best Buy. I was pleasantly surprised that the CPU is 2.2GHz instead of 2.0 and the hard drives are 7200 RPM. G74SX-BBK8

    With people like that , you don't even need to go into a store .
