    Hey Guys,
I have an Asus G53SW-XN1. I will be traveling a lot by plane and car. I would like to use my laptop on those long trips. Would a 150 watt inverter be enough to power my laptop?

I usually recommend at least the 300W adapters at a minimum if you are looking for a car adapter on those longer trips. The 150W could underpower the unit which would be a bad thing.

Why? The standard power brick is 150W.

The airplane inverters cap off around 150watts. Will this not be enough to power my lappy to at least watch a movie and write an email?

When I had a G73 I never tried it on my car inverter, but here the most relevant user experience I can remember:

I am not exactly sure if the G53 pulls significantly less power than the G73, but my guess is that it would be close.
