Try the event viewer to see what crashed.

I have this problem with 10.12 cats. Get a reboot if I leave it for 15 - 20 minutes. Haven't tried the RC3 that are floating around yet. Not sure why and had no time to look into it. But it is consistent, even a clean install.

the event viewer showed a generic kernel error 41 if I remember correctly...
so far It's been very odd:
I can play games for hours and no freezes or reboot, or whatsoever, so I may be lucky with my c300 in the end..

Yet for example I had two rebot while copying files and while I was not watching! It seems a joke to me...

This lead me to reinstall the intel IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers,(I use Drivermax to keep driver updated, but we know intel installer often need to be run by shortcut with the -overral command line trick...)
Then what... I check the system for errors and none showed up...
It may be the CCC 10.12, who knows...
I'll let you guys know how it fares today after works...
Yet I could withness a C300 failure ( I would so like it was a Windows one):
While installing program and opening Disk Management the whole OS Froze, with the HDD light being illuminated at full light: Then as soon as the display turned off, it could not light up again and it got rebooted, with this other message, and I really fear this was for sure a C300 freeze...
