Sorry if i posted in the wrong place or something, im a bit new, but i had a quick question about the customizing you can do on xotic pc for the asus g73jh-a2. There are two choices for battery, the first being a Smart Li-ion Battery (8-Cell) and the second is a Spare Smart Li-ion Battery (8-Cell). i just wanted to know if paying the extra 110 dollars was worth it. thanks!

The spare is exactly that - a spare battery; $110 is a reasonable price for it, so if just one battery doesn't last long enough for you the spare might be a good idea (though you'd have to carry the extra weight to make use of it).

Generally, you won't find 9-cells and 8-cells in the same laptop. That 8 cell is probably the largest capacity battery that's compatible with the G73.

I myself just ordered a G73JH-A1 from XoticPC last week, and few days ago the sales advisor told me I still have to wait for another 7-8 weeks. Hope that helps.

I got my laptop from xotic in 3 days, it is just like everything else, it depends on how far away you live. Also, I hope you don't plan on buying a G73 for great battery life...

The issue here isn't shipping, it's the queue for G73s.

Before purchasing, I can't think of one. However, after purchasing, I can think of at least a dozen. :)

Have fun with your new purchase.

What? Please don't be spoiled, save your parents or yourself the money, don't buy that extra battery. I doubt a 14 year old needs to travel a lot and needs battery life. I doubt anyone with a G73 bought it for those needs.

Powernotebooks has g73 in stock right now. Or at least did a few hours ago. Might want to check there. Also don't expect much battery life out of the g73. MAYBE squeeze out 5 with hevy tweaking.

5 with two batteries, yeah, should be manageable, though it depends on the usage.

Thanks for the info. I had a look but the stock in powernotebook has 1 SSD as primary drive and as standard, so its more expensive. Still thanks for the info :)

When I was fourteen I was begging for a $200 Commodore 64 out of the Sears catalog which my parents said was too expensive for a toy. :(

Thanks guys for all your input. I was also wondering if there was a big difference in the 8gb 1066 memory and the 8gb 1333 memory. Thanks
