I seriously doubt it. Using another barebone now. Issues are present there as well. This really sucks. My apologies in advance to the many customers that will have their orders delayed even longer. if you have an order in now make sure your order is held until the screws and battery problem is addressed, -

that is very odd ken. 2 systems same problem outside of windows. present even in pre post

The base resolution of 3Dmark06 is 1280X1024. With my G1S, after doing a recovery with the Asus DVD and removing all the Asus provided garbage and a defragment, i got a score of 3810 @ 1280X1024 on 3Dmark06. (Stock Clocks)
A reason for ur question why the C90s scoring higher when resolution is changed is that CPU plays a much larger role in the 3d benchmark scores/fps when the resolution is downlplayed. Hence the reason they do test for CPUs at resolutions like 640X480 to take the load of the test off the GPU such that it is not bottlenecked..
The C90s would definately score much higher in PCmark06 especially when its coupled with a desktop CPU and a 7200rpm HDD.. -

I dotn mind waiting for mine (plus i just ordered yesterday (from Ken's place) so i guess is going to take a while before it gets shipped)
plus its better to wait a while longer and get a entirely working machine that getting one and have reshipped to get it fixed... -

yeah but right now im using a power book g4 that has broken keys, a dying dvd drive, and a dying fan.
 -

Right that is a good reason lol
 -

Don't Get me Wrong, i love the powerbook. but it can't DO anything.

Retesting now with vista home premium. Perhaps the problem is with ultimate
 -

That shouldnt make a major difference in the scores considering the fact it is give or take a few more/less services running in the background and given the same drivers.
 -

alias read up a bit his C90S had a major malfuntion with them haulting and bsod

reinstalling windows halted when removing ac adaptor leaving just the battery. changing all components, memory, hard drive, cpu
 -

yeah, missed that point!! Thanks for pointing that out.
Still i would like to repeat my last post. Given the fact that its basically the same kernel, things may not be different especially considering the fact that Vista 32bit as requirement for any application comprises both of Premium, Business & Ultimate. -

I swear im bitting my fingers now since al my fingernails are gone

Narrowed it down to fujitsu 7200rpm drives. Retesting with another fuji 7200rpm drive. seagate works just fine. i am not reinstalling windows just to see if home works better. it just happens to halt during the setup of windows if the power is yanked. Works good with seagate thus far. should have final results in a few minutes
 -

I can see it now him telling driver you find my damn laptop in that truck if you don't have it start radioing other trucks......
