I just got done with the written review. I need to run a ton of game benchmarks to compliment it all and then probably do minor tweaks before I post it up.
I imagine I can get all the game benchmarks done in a day but I am about out of time tonight, I have work to do.

Hmm dont see it in setfsb, looks like we may have to wait, or pick one close to it and hope for the best.

 

Ya i didnt see it there either . there are a couple in there from Asus x38 motherboards which are very close but no exact match

 

I got it to work with one thats very close but got the old blue screen at 3400mhz looks like its time to get a Qx93 for sure now .

Well for me my t9600 already overclocks to 3284mhz through turbo gear, so for the moment im cool . I may have to uninstall turbo gear to gain stability and disable it in the bios but i probably wont bother to try all that till get a Quad.


I emailed the Author of Setfsb to see if he will add it .

Nah it was under one of the video cards just covered up abit so some of the letters were hard to read .

Lol i spent 12+ hours today alone trying to get drivers to work with Win7,stock installs and fresh installs . Ive used acronis so much in one day i think im going to get a tattoo of it on my A** . So the card thing just was not in the cards(no pun) today but maybe tommorrow if i feel up to it , you know i want to get it working for me and everyone else concerned about getting new drivers. And i would not be getting far with out your help bro so thanks .

 

this is very very good news to have the PLL i think the w90 owners should pay setFSB developer to put it in .....

lmao you do not want to know what i had to go through to get this!!!!! minimum wage living with my grandparents helping them out ( they are both sick any day hard thing)

i got nothing for christmas birthday or graduation ( because i used all my grad money and b-day money and christmas money and saved a year i paid 1000 and my mom and g parents paid 500 each)

i saved and saved and my m17 was 2089 after tax

dont give me that but i could give 10-15$ lol i work at subway 8pm-1am and get up at 7 to go to school

Just kidding MR. Moo I respect that you worked hard for your stuff and I know what its like to have hard times. I make less than min wage cause of my X and her lawyer. So everything I get comes from very careful saving and prioritizing of funds.

I know how it is though, im a single parent and my son has autism(14year old) , so i know how hard life can be , believe you me i know . I hustle as hard as i can to have all the toys to keep me sane.

Setfsb already emailed me and i mailed him back the correct info.

 

wow that was fast,

quad, besides that x64 driver signing thing I told you about earlier, in your quest to change the drives you also want to unisntall the turbogear enhanced vga driver from asus if you did not already. its like a built in overclock on the graphics cards but it could have some effect on the drivers.

i have been emailing the guy from Setfsb back and forth and he just mailed me again to ask the FSB ? so i grabbed a screenshot from CPUz . Lol i hope he can get this sorted cause i couldnt remember off hand the FSB or what its rated at , i must be getting tired as its been a long day .

 

So what's the best 3DMARK06 scores on this laptop?
Not sure if the 20.000+ OCd scores that is shown on other sites are bogus but what #'s did actual owners of this laptop get?

 

Well know once one of us gets a Qx9300 and gets Setfsb rolling .

these laptops are getting 15-16 k easily. With a qx9300 im sure E will get it there

nope drivers work fine we are using 9.3

he sold his whitebook for finanical issues i think taxes if i rember correctly

Yea man..we parted ways a couple months ago.. Moved, new job, yada yada.. sold it off and now considering this Asus. Just treading water, trying to stay on top of the new technology until I have something in my hands to toy with. I'll figure it out in a month or so.. Good to see ya 'round here tho man

 

Thanks E, I'm not really into the whole "my laptop is better than yours" drama, just interested in good quality high performance laptops, consider me a laptop junky that loves to torture himself with all the latest laptop tech.
Glad to see all the initial problems with this laptop have been straightened out

i thought i was gonna be out on top for awhile, with the quadcore and 3870's until the ASUS

Lol moo you have a nice machine and there will always be something better regardless, so dont let it bother you, otherwise your better off never buying anything at all .

When the M98 hits i know its going to be alot faster then my machine but my feeling was for the price/performance of this machine along with warranty etc it just could not be beat . plus i hate shiny plastic . So its all good , i can still play anything i want on my machine and should for sometime to come .

 

all i can find is its gonna have SLI any idea about cards?

 

2x280gtx which are supposed to be 50% faster then the 9800gtxs, so ya its gonna be fast . Im sure its also going to be a pretty penny for something with decent specs.
