Hi, can someone please help, i screwed up my laptop really badly.

i have an asus u6sg and untill recently, had it dual booted with vista 32 bit and windows 7 64 bit. however after an update i am was unable to run either.

i then tried to recover to factory settings which removed win 7 and restored vista, but i still coundnt run vista. i also tried to flash the bios which did not do anything. so i tried to reinstall windos 7 which worked for a bit, but then stoped running again. this has leftf my hardrive very messy messy with bits of the vista and 7 processing system.

i also did a hardrive chech and found no problem, and i dont know what to do.

my laptop did not come with the vista recovery disk and i cant access it so i cant recover the product key, but i have a windows 7 key and iso.

    what should i do?

    Thanks

Hey guys, I still love my Asus U6 and trying to keep it going for a little longer. Apparently my heatpipe/heatsink has lost all of its vapor so its not working any longer like it should. Does anyone out there have an old U6 that they are junking that I could buy off for parts? Asus refuses to sell me any.

    Hi there!

    My Asus U6sg
    1. does not burn CDs- whichever software I use, it goes through the burning process and says it's burn succesfully but when I reload the cd in the drive, it shows as empty

    or

    2. It cannot recognise a CD

    3. Also it won't boot from either CD or USB drive - I have set up the BIOS properly but every time it will go straight to Windows.

All of this makes re-installing Windows impossible. Just bought Windows 8 but I can't install it!

    Help!
