    Hi Folks,

many greetings from snowy germany :D

I own an ASUS C90S. For a couple of weeks, my powerconnector has a slack joint (is this the right word in English for an insulate contact?)!

i don´t think the DC-Kabel is the problem, its the connector inside.

Anyone also have this problem? What can i do?

Send the NB back to ASUS isn´t a good idea, because i modded my C90S a lil´bit ^^

Are you saying that your C90 isn't getting any power? I had a similar problem. There's a slight language barrier between us and I'm not completely sure its the same problem, but here it goes.

Use a screwdriver or knife and carve away some of the plastic that obscures the power jack and the internal DC outlet. Just go around the entire radius and strip away a bit of the plastic.

The problem, I believe, is that over time, the heat generated from the C90 slowly warps the C90s motherboard cover. Eventually, the jack isn't able to completely make contact with the motherboard, thus causing problems. If you take out the motherboard door, and plug it directly in to the DC outlet on the motherboard, you should be able to supply power. Since the door is warped, just carve away into it.
