Did you disabled User Account Control before installing the Asus drivers DVD?

Try reinstalling Vista but install the drivers DVD before turning UAC off.

I got a few problems when I did a Vista recovery and installed the drivers DVD after turning off UAC.

Also you could try removing and reinstalling the Direct Console (standard procedure... :) )

Try using the updated version on the Asus website and install the updated ATK drivers.

Join the club with the Direct Console thingy...When I go into the DC folder and try to launch it from there it tells me that the file/program is corrupt. When I go to delete the program with uninstall/change it says it can't and gives me error code 2330. If I do find a new version of Direct Console how am I gonna get rid of the old one if it's corrupt?

If you don't know you are probably not using it. :) It needs to be enabled in the BIOS, and it is data-destructive. You can find more info by google or on the Wikipedia page about RAID.

Also for the overclocking feature to work you must have power4gear extreme installed

Hi! Did anyone solve this problem?? I have the same issue with my asus G71 A1.
I deleted the MS Office 2007 using "Revo Uninstaller" and i suppose that some necessary records in register were deleted. So, now i always have a message when i log in:

    "Runtime Error!
    ...\Direct Console.exe

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information."

I've already reinstalled the Microsoft C++ Runtime Library (from here-> 64 bit:
    http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en),
reinstalled Direct Console 2.0 (from my support CD), ATK0100 driver (from my support CD), ATK_Hotkeys (from my support CD), ATKMedia (from my support CD), ATKOSD2 (from my support CD) but it haven't helped...

I really can't understand why it works when i choose "Run as administrator" in Start menu... In what a difference?...

If you solved this problem, please tell me how. Thanks.
