    [HELP] G51J-A1 crashes while playing on HDMI mode.

    Hi!
    While playing on HDMI mode (other screens) my laptop crashes, just shuts down. This doesn't happen when playing on the laptop's LED.
    EventID 41 says: "The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first.
    This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly."
    Since the 1st times that this happened to me I have installed a fresh win7, different GPU drivers, flashed with new BIOS 208.
    When tested with Furmark I got 102~ degrees (C.) on both HDMI and without, but while connected to HDMI it DID crash,
    tho I don't think its temperature related since while playing Bad Company 2 without HDMI I get max of 96 Degrees.
    The GPU is clocked @550/950/1375.
    Any Idea's ?

    It has been known for a while now that the Asus G51J cannot be used with external output video and the lid closed. Maybe that is what happened?

    I think that with the lid closed and HDMI output, it will shutdown in like 15 mins. I always use it with the lid open and screen off. Tell us if this works for you too.
