    hi guys, im having a trouble with my webcam.. i just format my G1s and all things work except the webcam

    when im using the msn messenger, it appears dialog box says that

    i already install the driver

    anyone can help me? sorry for my bad english..

    Are you sure the driver is the correct one? I believe sometimes driver CDs for particular computers include multiple camera drivers.

    If you are sure, then you could try removing the driver, and reinstalling it. Or you could check the support.asus.com website for an updated driver.

    By the way have you used your camera recently, before the format?

    I did use it but not very often, but i think I didnt use it for like a month before i format it..

    Weird, the camera should be connected via USB2.0 AFAIK. Have you installed the chipset drivers properly, and is your Windows installation fully up to date (patched)?

    Something is wrong there...

    how do i know if i installed the chipset driver properly?

    By memory. :) Did you install the chipset driver first thing after Windows, and did the install go smoothly?

    If you reinstalled Windows via the recovery partition or recovery optical media, and inserted the drivers CD when & if you were asked to, then the correct drivers should have installed automatically.

    You could try reinstalling those chipset drivers; that may also require reinstallation of other device drivers as well, and may cause problems (although it shouldn't)... so do it with caution.

    First thing you should do, though, is reinstall the camera driver, after you have made sure it is the correct one.

    so put in the drive CD and check which ones arent installed good (or just arent installed), install them properly...
